Madsen Giersing prepared the detailed design of temporary access bridges over the Mooney Ponds for the construction of the approach span to the Yarra River Bridge.
The purpose of the temporary bridges was to provide crane access to piers in the creek. The largest crane that operated on the temporary bridges was a 250t mobile crane with a total mass of approximately 200 tonnes.
