Temporary Works Haughton Pump Stations (4 & 5)

Madsen Giersing prepared the detailed design and the construction sequence for the cofferdam for the Haughton Pump Stations Nos 4 & 5. The pump stations were built on the bank of the reservoir and the foundation requirement was that a hole had to be excavated 14m below the water level in the dam. The cofferdam was designed as a circular shape with a diameter of 23m with precast concrete walers. |
